Baby Bots on the rise in Japan

The baby bots name is yotaro and he was made to help encourage people to reproduce more children and, help the declining population in Japan. Yotaro cries, laughs and kicks when you tickle him. He sneezes and his nose runs. When he Is upset his rattles calms him down.


The inventors hopes that Yotaro can help Japan's fallen birth rate, which is at it's lowest in the world.

“A robot can't be human but it's great if this robot triggers human emotions, so humans want to have their own baby,” said Hiroki Kunimura, the project leader for the Yotaro robot.

Kunimura and his university of Tsukuba team originally built the robotic baby because they wanted to create a robot that can cross national and cultural lines. Since a baby doesn't have any language skills yet, they chose to build as robotic infant.

The university of Tsukuba students began showing off Yotaro at robot competitions, and were surprised by the reactions from the public and the media. “People asked us if this baby robot was created to tackle the low birth rate in Japan,” said Kunimura, who described himself as Yotaro's daddy.

The low birth rate wasn't the initial concept,but when Kunimura started seeing how the public touched and reacted to Yotaro, he saw the possibilities of a robotic solution to a social crisis.

California Police officer busted for texting.

A California police officer was caught sending sexy messages through his work phone.


The police department gave out work phones for the officer's to use, and I guess all he noticed was free. Just like every other dumb ass in the world he used his work phone for personal use, Sending out steamy texts over exceeding his texting limits. When the department went to investigate why he kept going over his limits on a monthly basis, they looked through his records to find out why.

The officer then goes on to sue is department, saying that they had violated his 4th amendment right.

When the department audited his records they claim they tried not to look at his off duty texts but, “some how” saw them anyway. The department says that it was hard to separate through all the work and personal messages.

This case went through two federal courts before they took it to the supreme courts.

Hmmm, I guess he forgot that the work place has the right to check any and all records of their own property. I also I figure why not just look at his time sheet and then look for those times on the phone.

Why didn't he just get a different phone for his personal conversations?

Drake's free South seaport show canceled.

Tuesday was the release of Drake's debut album, so he figured Tuesday night he'll play a free show for his fans. Before Drake could even take the stage, a riot broke out and that was the end of that.


Due to a couple of Ignorant people, Drake's fans missed out on a good moment. With the way this kid is taking off, they might not ever get the chance to be that close to him for free again.

Since last year this kid has been the talk around the hip-hop community. He seems to pass right pass his successors to his own platform. Which at first, I wasn't even sure about this kid and his future in Rap. But, with some of the heavy hip-hop heads lending support, some of his music is turning out to be alright.

For me personally I am a little bit more old school. when it was time for my rappers to free style it came from the top of their heads, right there on the spot. Now a days if you ask these young kids to freestyle, they immediately run to their black Berries or Ipods, for what they had written.

Free styling is not about rapping to just any beat. It's a great kill and art form to play around with words, how well you use them and to be able spit them at any given moment.
But, with enough time and a little more experience Drake will probably get the hang of things, and will be around for years to come.

Stop Snaking Around

The best I've seen all week.

Salma Hayek was doing an interview for Extra with her co stars Maria Bello and Maya Rudolph for their latest movie Grown ups, when they had an unexpected visitor arrive on set.



It was some kind of snake but, from Salma’s reaction I can imagine how big that sucker was. I couldn’t help but to laugh, and all at the same time feel bad for her. Once she climbed the director’s chair in her stiletto heels it was over lol. Who can blame her? I know I can’t!  I am just as terrified of snakes, and probably would have had the same if not worst reaction lol.
It was so cute once she started crying and everyone realized how scared she truly was. At the end of her horrifying moment she had to be carried off of set.


I guess Salma needs a body guard just for her pesty fans.

Busted

Suzanne Corona is being charged with adultery which is rarely used to convict someone on.

In these days the word adultery is usually used with divorce cases and religion groups. Suzanne Corona was charged with adultery after being caught in a public park in upstate New York, with a half naked man who was not her husband. Corona is also charged with her partner in crime with lewdness, but it's this adultery charge that is giving her national attention. If she is found guilty she will be the fifth person in her state, and the thirteenth person in the United States to be convicted of   this crime since 1972.

Wednesday she appeared in court supported by her husband Joesph as the judge red through her charges as she pleaded not guilty. Her partner in crime Justin Amend also pleaded not guilty.

After court Suzanne told reporters “his genitals were exposed perhaps by the zipper, but that's it. You could have been a passerby and not have known there was anything going on”, Corona said.

As for her husband, he continues to support her, ' I've got forty something years to spend with my wife,” he said. “I'm not gonna throw it out over one incident”.

*The only thing …. OK, there are multiple things wrong here.

1; Why would you have sex on a picnic table, unless it was dark? For that matter you're better off in the car, it's less chances of being caught...  (Umm, not like I would know Mom)

2; We'll perhaps , since you just admitted to doing something by saying “his genitals were exposed perhaps by zipper, but that's it”. (Nice one).

3; So much for a secrete affair ! Your cover is blown, because you chose to have sex in a public park, and now the whole world knows.

I am not going to act like i'm some stuffy person with my nose in the air. I believe when it comes to relationships, as long as it's not harmful to anyone, to each is their own....

    It's just sometimes people do such crazy things, we can'thelp ourselves to talk about it lol.

I find Samantha Spiegel to be suspicious herself. Samantha obviously is not at all checked in yet. This poor girl needs to have a one on one conversation with herself, and ask herself why would she even date a guy like him.  I will never understand what goes through certain girls heads, when it comes to choosing a “boyfriend”.  Is the title so important that your willing to risk everything for it? Why offer up your own niece? Or, your friends little daughter's?

John Mark Karr was a teacher who falsely confessed to the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, has yet again resurfaced this time as a woman. Karr who has not had a sex change, but refers to himself as a woman and holds a Washington state license under the name Delilah Alexis Reich.

Samantha Spiegel who is Karr's ex-fiance says that he is a danger to children. She met him when she was nine years old and he was a teacher's aide, she reached out to him when she saw him on T.V. What is a nine year old doing lending moral support to a teacher?

She says he then ask her to help him recruit little girls to be part of his occult called “The Immaculates”.

When informed he was being accused by 19 year old Samantha Spiegel, he issued this bizarre replay: Do you make a difference in the lives of children with your research or do you only blast pedophiles and talk the rhetoric of the severe punishment they deserve? Aren't the children the matter at hand and not the pedophiles? Do you consider me a pedophile? You'd have to prove that with more then rumor. If you do accuse me of such, I deny the accusation emphatically,” He told The Daily Beast.

Back in 2006, Karr claimed he killed six year old JonBenet Ramsey in her Colorado home in 1996. Boulder police later ruled him out as a suspect.

Samantha says she was infatuated with Karr from a young age. “All the kids were in love with Mr. Karr,” she said. Adding that she would have “killed for him”. Samantha's parents, were outraged with their daughter's relationship with Karr, as well as her drug addiction and placed her into rehab.

When Samantha was released from rehab 16 months later, she said that's when Karr started harassing her to find little girls for a cult.

“If I find you have been deceiving me I will kill you and laugh as you die. Do you understand me? Karr allegedly wrote to Spiegel.

After that e-mail Karr sent another one to Samantha. “Give me your house phone number. If you cost me my little girls I will hunt you down and kill you”. *OK and why would she give him her address? To make it easier for him to just come and kill her?

On The Today Show this morning Spiegel was surprised by the question asked about, how she helped him and even thought about her own little niece.

She admits to thinking about it and seizing up different little girls for him, including friends with little girls but, has never brought them to him in person.

Indonesian baby on 40 cigarettes a day It's a must see! It's like taking a short break to watch a Coney Island freak show. You know, one of thoes things you hate to watch but always do.
He's so adorable its a shame to watch but, I seem not to be able to take my eyes off of him.

Talk about reincarnation! This little boy was defiantly here before! I can't even begin to explain, how my mouth just hit the floor once I saw this video on Youtube.  I am 31 years old and I smoke about a pack every other day and tring to quit. How in the world is this baby smoking 2 packs a day?! Not to mention they say he started at the age of 18 months, come on!

After watching the video like 20 times, just to make sure it was not a fake. That's when my friends and I started talking about reincarnation. This baby boy or, should I say (Man child) seems to be a very old man in his tiny little body. It is for sure it wasn't time for him or, her to leave this world. This little man has the mannerism of a much, much older adult (35 yrs. Older). It's from the way he holds the cigarettes in his hands, the way he knows how to lite a cigarette, and down to the very way he enjoys every little intake of the nicotine that he inhale and exhales.

31 year old missing boy case reopened.

6 year old Ethan Patz disappeared in SoHo on his way to the school bus stop on May 25, 1979.


31 years later Manhattan district attorney Cyrus Vance has declared the case re-opened. Now, the Manhattan district attorney's office will take a fresh look at the evidence collected against the prime suspect, a convicted child molester named Jose Ramos, who is serving 20 yrs. In prison in Pennsylvania.

Vance's press secretary Erin Duggan declined to specify why the case has been reopened. Vance, who took office on Jan. 1st of this year, ran with a campaign to promise to reopen Ethan's case. The office said it cannot comment on open cases.

The search for Ethan was one of the most extensive missing child searches in history. He was the first child to be pictured on the side of a milk cartoon and president Ronald Reagan declared May 25th national missing child day in his honor.

In 1982 the Bronx police were questioning Ramos about suspected child molestation when he revealed that he had been involved with the Patz's former babysitter. However, this was not enough to convict him, and Ramos was released. Three years later in 1985, Ramos who then has been in prison for another child molestation case, was brought to New York to be questioned. He thought he was there for tax invasion, but when U.S attorney Stuart GraBois abruptly asked Ramos how many times did he have sex with Patz, Ramos “broke down”, GraBois told 60 minutes in 2000.

During his questioning, Ramos admitted to having taken a young boy back to his apartment and made physical sexual advances to him on May 25, 1979, and that he later recognized the boy as the same child Ethan Patz , who declared missing in the news and in the papers. Ethan was the only child mistress who went missing in Manhattan that day, GraBois told the Wall Street Journal yesterday. However, Ramos declared the boy had refused, and he had to let him go. The admission therefore doesn't constitute a full confession, and with hard evidence Grabois could not charge Ramos with the crime at that point.

I just want to see if this work.

Looks like the sun's come up on Twilight stars.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are finding themselves in a uncomfortable situation. They are the two hottest things in the film industry at the moment and the rumors are just all over the place.




According to US weekly the two are having a bunch of lover's spats. They report while during re- shoot for the new Twilight Saga, Kristen and Robert had it out in front of everyone on set. With Kristen yelling at Robert during the shoot he seemed a little embarrassed and kept asking to take it inside. According to their so called friends have said, that the pair are always together which, naturally makes them argue.

Pattinson whom seems to be head over heels for Stewart, doesn't seem to mind, as long as his girl is by his side. Robert who's mentioned he had a crush on Kristen since the first Twilight movie couldn't be any more happier, Stewart was seeing someone else at the time and he had a fling with another cast member. Once Kristen showed signs of problems in her relationship, Pattinson rushed at the chance to be with her, leaving his once fling at the curb.



Things are still heating up between the two young stars but, that doesn't mean they don't have their own problems. Rumors are flying around about the young starlet getting pregnant by Pattinson and the situation was fixed quickly. Meanwhile the two are still denying being a couple but, are being seen doing a SUV switch-a-roo when they felt cameras weren't around. Rumors all over the net about Robert being Gay and breaking millions of girls hearts around the world.



* LOL, most of these different rumors of entertaining and it's even funnier to watch the arguments break out with the devout Twilight fans. I'll keep you up dated with this one.

NFL Super Bowl 2014 comes to New York.... Or, should we say New Jersey.

I'm am a huge, long time football fan, and I am extremely excited to hear about the news today.

I love the intensity of the game, the pure adrenaline rush and the complete love for the players, and it's all coming here to us. Or, should I say N.J.

For everyone outside of NY and N.J they always put us together. We are two separate states that is always having to share, it would be nice to have something of our own (like a football stadium).

And that's exactly what the Mayor of East N.J feels about this whole 2014 Super Bowl stuff.

East Rutherford mayor James Cassella is not at all that excited. He's fully aware that although the Super Bowl XLVIII will be in N.J in 2014, he knows everything else is going across the river to NYC.

“The NFL would prefer to make this all about New York City”, he told the post. “I'm sure the mayor of New york will be there. I'm sure he'll have no problem going to the game. But I suspect I will be sitting in my recliner watching at home”.

East Rutherford doesn't even get the respect in it's own state. When the Giant's won the Super Bowl two years ago, Cassella wasn't even invited to the celebration. “It bothers me, but I'm not bitter”, he said. “Mostly I'm just immune to it now”.



The Governor of N.J Chris Christie, who celebrated the Super Bowl selection yesterday by giving high fives to Jets center Nick Mangold and Giants guard Chris Snee, said the town will finally get it's due.

“When the game comes on they are going to say live from East Rutherford New Jersey”, Christie said. “The eyes of the entire world will be on New Jersey”.



Side Note* It would be extra nice to actually see one of our teams playing in the 2014 Super Bowl...  Just a thought.

Modern Family/ Modern Times.

Modern Family is a brilliantly funny show about one dad and his two children who both have families of their own. The dad is recently married to a younger wife and son from Columbia, his daughter is married to a crazed husband with three kids, and the brother is in a fully committed gay relationship with a new born baby.


But, it's Mitchell and Cameron relationship that is causing a little conflict with the show's producers and the fans. Cameron and Mitchell has not shared a kiss on the hit ABC show. So one fan name Brain J. Heck Launched a facebook page to protest on May 8th and, in five days got over 10,000 supporters. Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays Mitchell even tweeted about it. The producers said they'll address “public display of affection” in season two, and asked everyone to “please chillax".

Russell Crowe: Mad again!

Russell Crowe always had a problem with handling his anger. Back in 2005, Crowe pleaded guilty to a third degree assault charge. After throwing a telephone at a hotel employee in NYC.
Recently a BBC radio station interviewed Russell and, asked if he felt his accent in his new movie Robin Hood was a little on the Irish Dialect side. Russell Crowe who is now 46 replied “You've got serious dead ears if you think that's an Irish accent”. “No I was actually going for an Italian. Missed it? F**K me”. The final straw for Crowe was when, the reporter began talking about Gladiator rather then his new movie, Crowe got up and walked out the studio, mumbling “I don't get the Irish thing”.
A rep for Crowe at the Cannes Film festival earlier this month, said “he did not storm out of the interview”.

*I find this hard to believe due to Russell's passed rants but, maybe fatherhood did calm this mad man down... I could be wrong lol.

Woman sues hospital for HIV infected transplant.

Karen Cruz from Orlando Florida underwent a kidney transplant in 2007, which ultimately infected her with the HIV virus.

Karen Cruz who is 55, said Lee Memorial health system, six doctors and one of the country's largest testing laboratories did not properly screened the donor before the 2007 surgery. The donor who is a female relative of Karen's, was tested positive for HIV in one of the two test, along with the
Epstein-Barr virus and Cytomegalovirus, said Mark Glassman, one of Cruz's attorneys.

“while you have one positive and one negative test, what they decided to do was to rely on one test over the other without notification to the recipient that there had been this positive test,” Glassman said.

Now Epstein-Barr, can cause mononucleosis in young adults and CMV are viruses found in most adults and often do not cause illness, according to the U.S Centers for Disease control and Prevention.
Karen said she became ill around 2008 as a result of the CMV. She also was tested for HIV and Epstein-Barr antibodies, showing presence of the viruses in her system.

The Lee Memorial Health System was notified about the lawsuit Wednesday, and this what they had to say. “Despite the allegations in the complaint, services provided by the transplant center were appropriate and met standards of care,” said the systems spokeswoman Karen Krieger. “we defend this case on the merits.”



Once I heard this story I, couldn't help to speak about it. Has it really come to this?
Here's a profession were you're suppose to help take care of people, not just collect a healthy paycheck. Do we not live by this new saying “If you see something, say something”. Should it only be applied to acts of terrorism? If your a doctor and your about to do a transplant, and you understand that the blood your giving is no good, why would you still give it? It's just inhumane to me but, that's just me.

Rumor time!

Today we all know most things that you read in the papers or, on the news are not true.
My question is; when did fact checking get tossed out the window?

Now a days, they will print anything from 2pac was seen in New Orleans to, the sky is purple.
You read a story now and by the end of the next day, you see a rebuttal in the papers about, how they’ve gotten the story wrong.

Today I read something that I knew for sure wasn’t true… Or, I hope its not!
I can not even imagine these two together. Their careers are in two different directions and they are both at two different points in their lives.

Courtney Love told the papers about her 8 month love affair with ex Bush front man, Gavin Rossdale.

Are you kidding me Courtney! Why would he go for an ex washed up rocker chick? When he is married to one of today’s most popular Rock stars? Gwen Stephanie!

I just have one thing to say to Ms. Love “You have enough bad press and too much is too much bad press”.

If this is true, expect the Rocker version of Bobbie and Whitney.

Lost at sea.

An 11 year old girl name Tere Duperrault Fassbender, was found 49 years ago floating alone in a raff, for four days with out food or water. When the Miami cost guards discovered the little girl, she was badly sunburned, dehydrated and had a rapid heartbeat. They rushed the 11 yr. old Tere, to mercer hospital in Miami Florida. After making a full recovery she was asked what had happen to her. She told the police that the boat went down and everyone had drowned. The passengers on the boat The Blue Bell were Tere’s mother, father, brother and sister. Including the captain’s wife, who was also aboard the boat.
But, the captain Julian Harvey had arrived safely at shore in a dingy boat two days before Tere was even found. When asked what happened to him, he told the cops that The Blue Bell had caught fire and then began to sink. But, Tere fully recovered and was able to tell the cops her side of the story.

Once, Julian Harvey saw the news that the little girl had lived. He later committed suicide in his motel room. While in recovery Tere explained to the police that, she was asleep and had awaken to find her mother and brother above deck, lying in their own pool of blood. She then said that the captain Julian Harvey had chased her down below deck. And that’s when he began to pull the plugs in the halls, so that the boat can sink.

It was later discovered that he had murdered his wife for the insurance money.
And the Fassbender family just happened to be there.
.

Tere Duperrault Fassbender is now all grown up. And has written a book called
“Alone: Orphan on the Ocean.” It tells her story of survival in the ocean, at such a young age. And, how she was suppose to have died with the rest of her family that night On The Blue Bell.


This will be an interesting read for those “lounge around days.”

The NYPD Tapes

I was working downtown Wednesday afternoon, when I came across the new issue of the VillageVoice. on the front of the paper was a picture of a NYPD police officer with a stretch of crime scene taped wrapped around his mouth and dark sunglasses to hide his face.
The story head line read; The NYPD Tapes. so, naturally I stopped and read what the article was about. It took most if the day, due to all the evidence they were given.
Of course, I do not believe that all NYPD cops are bad. But it has been proven in the past about, a couple of "Different" ones. The story starts off with an interesting twist. He was a cop from the 81st prescient in Brooklyn, who was undercover in his own station house.
He didn't like the way the public was being served and decided to do something about it. He brought in a tape recorder and began taping all kinds of conversation inside the station. How did he manage to do this for a whole year, with out anyone noticing is beyond me...
But he did! He continues to record all conversations for a year and the tapes all includes voices of lieutenants, Sargent's and the patrolling cops on shift. During roll call they speak of cops issuing out more tickets, as a "get out of trouble" card from their Co's. The tapes also reveals how they down play certain complaints from victims, so that it can be less paper work to do.

Being the oldest grand daughter of a veteran police officer in Brooklyn NY. I do understand how dangerous and tough this job really can be. This doesn't mean, anyone should be able to push our rights aside.
